Uddenskulptur Sweden Scholarship Award 2026
This year, I was selected for the Uddenskulptur Fellowship 2026 in Sweden
The Bohuslän Stone Fellowship is Sweden’s largest working fellowship for sculptors and is awarded annually by KKV-Bohuslän (the artists’ collective). It is primarily aimed at international artists and includes a studio, accommodation and materials for working with Bohuslän granite. Purpose: to promote artistic work with stone, preserve the stone-carving tradition of western Sweden and foster international contacts. KKV-Bohuslän serves as a meeting place for artists and the stone industry.
ROLAND HÖFT – 2026 Fellow
This year, the artists’ collective has the honour of hosting a true master of sculpture: the internationally renowned German artist Roland Höft.
Roland has been working at KKV in Gerlesborg since mid-March this year on a sculpture project using red Bohus granite. He is working at a rapid pace, and his new work is now nearing completion.
Roland’s current theme for his sculptures is ‘bend rather than break’. In his works, he transfers the properties of bent metal to stone, thereby creating an impression of material contradiction. The main theme of this work is an expanded perception of the diversity of life and the resulting processes of change.
